To our clients, past and present, our industry contacts, colleagues and friends.
In a time like this, our main focus as a team is to support those who support and have supported us, and we encourage the customers of our customers to do the same thing.
Here you will find some tips and tricks to staying healthy during the COVID-19 crisis for your teams and your colleagues.
As a fellow self-employed business owner, I welcome the government’s tax breaks. The most relevant of these are massive instant asset write-offs.
So if you need new cars, vans, computers and tech equipment, fit-out, furniture, TVs, solar systems or tools, now could be the best time to act. I can organise your asset finance to make the most of these write-offs, which effectively allow you to write off assets up to $150,000*, with an immediate tax deduction (rather than depreciating over time).
Note: the assets need to be purchased and in use by June 30, 2020.
To my self-employed clients and contractors who have lost income due to COVID-19 shutdowns, the government is arranging payments from $550 a fortnight up to double that to help sustain you over the next six months.

Make sure your business stays active on social and digital media channels. In times like these, the public looks to brands and leaders for information so you need to make sure your channels are consistently updated with information on how you're handling COVID-19 internally. Customers need to know what to expect from you during this time because they are still your customers!
ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN
Have a contingency in place for not only your customer service but also your teams. Regularly refer Australian Government approved health advice to properly set-up contingencies during the period ongoing.
PREPARE FOR TAKEOFF
Prepare for re-launch: make plans for how is your business going to come out the other side of this with a bang. We know it will pass, we just don't know when so until we do, plan, plan, plan and plan some more.
I am personally making myself available for Google Hangouts, Zoom, Facetime and phone calls for anyone who wants to discuss strategic planning for the next few months and when we come out the other side (because inevitably we will!)
We're in this together and for those of you who I've had the pleasure of working with already, you know that I love to make plans. So if you're in a position to, and would genuinely just like some help or even just another small business owner to talk to, please feel free to contact me.These conversations are free of charge until 30/06/2020 as our way of helping the many industries we work with.
